Construction of a dispensary and a Tibetan medical school in Zanskar

The summer of 2022 was the begining of this very important project for this population treated by Amchis or Tibetan doctors. Under the supervision of Lama Tenzin Dorjay and the local architect, three Nepalese and two Zanskarpas gave all their knowledge and courage to be able to build the foundations of this project from July to the end of October 2022.

It will take 3 years to complete this construction because the work must stop each year from the end of october until the end of june following the climatic conditions of a rigorously cold winter and heavy snowfall in Zanskar.
